Merci

Voyez Roboter-Forum Germany http://www.roboter-forum.com/showthread.php?24488-Vr200-Bitte-Staubbeh%E4lter-einsetzten

Beware bypassing (jumper) the switch. Software may require opening and closing the bin under certain circumstances, in order to run. This was the case with some XV model software. The software may request opening the bin when a long time has passed, to insure it is emptied. Just open and close the bin to operate.
So it is best to repair the plastic fittings which close the switch, or repair or replace the switch.
Many problems were caused by the bin not fitting properly. Mechanical fixes are possible, with tape or whatever.

On the XV models, the switch is a rubber keyboard plunger onto a gold circuit board. Dirt can accumulate and the contacts can be cleaned with alcohol.

Small microswitches are sold on ebay etc.

If you get a message after some time to "please empty the bin", you could reset by turning off the battery power switch and rebooting.
A charging cycle will then be performed to calibrate the battery. The message is likely after cleaning, so the battery would need charging anyway.

Merci pour cette précision :D

The Botvac -- and so probably VR200 -- has the same rubber plunger onto circuit board contacts for the bin switch as does the XV models. Most problems solved by cleaning with alcohol (to leave no residue). The contacts are subject to some dirt contamination over long periods.

Rubber button repair
Contact can be degraded by dirt on contacts and button which can be cleaned with alcohol. However, over long periods the rubber can oxidize or break down losing conductivity.
Replacement conductive rubber buttons for all sorts of keyboards and switches are widely sold, Amazon, ebay, Aliexpress etc., electronic distributors.
A variety pack with multiple sizes, ButtonWorx Amazon

The switch could be permanently closed with 2.2K resistor jumper, but the software may periodically demand opening and closing the bin, to empty, before running. This message can be disabled in the LCD Support menu.
